Follow up at the end of my lease: I'm including pictures of the "superb" property that Sydny was throwing herself on the tracks for. The Hamilton Company is the worst landlord I've ever rented under. Cockroaches, mold, theft, holes in the wall, and an unsafe elevator--our packages keep getting stolen, and they do not provide an alternative or safe mail room, telling us to have packages sent to friends (as if this is a sustainable long-term option) or go to the police to attain security footage (police reports will then be ignored by Hamilton). My experience dealing with the Hamilton Company and living on their property was the worst 9 months of my time in Boston. Living on their property was absolutely miserable and, frankly, unsafe. Never expect your maintenance issues to be addressed promptly. This company really sucks about maintenance of their properties. All they are interested in doing is to delay everything indefinitely and make you unable to maintain the unit and blame you as a violator of the lease. I have a dishwasher issue started from the end of Feb and now is early May, the new dishwasher is still sitting outside of the unit. i rent their apartment at the Parkman St. a few years ago and it was a horrible experience and even after several years I am still mad. Their manager acted like the lord of the land and consistently knock on my door and see what I am doing, sometimes he even opened my door with his key without noticing me. I lived at the Second Street location in Cambridge and my biggest regret is not reading the reviews before signing the lease. This is by far the worst managed building that I have ever lived in. The management does not respond to emails or phone calls. They don't fix problems, and they don't communicate with tenants. In our short time here we were woken up by fire alarms at 2:30 am and had to evacuate our unit three times. This company is legit trash. It's run by stupidly rich slumlords that are too cheap and lazy to fix anything. Seems like everyone they hire is lazy and incompetent, seriously--theyve lost my rent payment, ignore all maintenance requests, and just generally take forever to respond to any phone call or email(if they ever do) DO NOT LIVE HERE. You're much better off finding a privately owned place on Craigslist or leasing from a different company.

Renting from the Hamilton Company caused unnecessary stress, especially for a place with higher rent. Here is a list of issues. 1. The buildings at BattleGreen Apartments in Lexington have been on a steady decline. It's a little like a mirage, it initially looks okay but it's not what it seems.
