Living in Dexter Park Apartments in Brookline, as a professional adult, has been a noise-infested nightmare. This is essentially a Boston University off-campus dorm. Period. Management will tell you differently, and they will lie to prospective tenants, as I have personally heard them say "only professionals live here", to older prospective tenants. I stayed at an apt on 1126 Boylston St. for 3 years. Great maintenance response. The maintenance guy "Trent" in particular is a stellar professional. He has a fantastic work ethic, resourceful and efficient. He literally got the floors remodelled in our apt in a single day. I would recommend living in this building if you get the chance.

Your complexes and buildings downtown might be a little better than the ones on the North Shore but this company is absolute joke. My mother lives here and I am appaulled by how many issues, MANY issues, are being handled... or for a better understanding, is NOT being handled. My mother and her roommate went an entire week unable to shower due to the plumbing being completely backed up upon moving in. The resolution was cutting a hole in her roommates bedroom to get into the plumbing.... this was over a month ago and they co... read more

Thank you! Maintenance came in today to fix the sink. They were great and did a really good job finishing up. They said the closet door order has not come in yet and might take longer than expected as a result of delayed delivery. Will be waiting for maintenance and pest control in the coming week. Fingers crossed they can catch the mice

Can MBH apartments be managed by the Atrium office again? The main office's maintenance coordinator either never responds to maintenance requests --- goes straight to voice mail (and I called in 20 mins intervals for half a day once ), or even when promised, MAYBE somebody shows up --- something I have seen happening over few years living here. Following countless apartment showings, I was very excited to find the Hamilton Company's affordable luxury Davenport Apartments. They had all the amenities I was looking for and even allowed small dogs (rare in Cambridge). I lived in the Charles Passage units. No land lord/management company is perfect but I really enjoyed living here. Unlike other rentals Ive lived in, everything was freshly cleaned and painted when we moved in. Maintenance was responsive and friendly. The apartments are well built and very livable- I've heard a lot of complaints from friends who live in fancier buildings where everything breaks all the time because of shoddy construction. Woburn, Massachusetts had a COCKROACH problem and they were SO LAZY to deal with it!!!!!! Also, it's been almost 3 months since I got my security deposit back. I tried calling, emailing, leaving voicemails, went to the leasing office twice now and STILL DONT HAVE IT. They tell me they sent it. Guess where? To the Woburn location apartment THAT I MOVED OUT OF. Like... What??? I said to re-send it to my current address and, nope, still missing. The properly was poorly maintained and pests were an issue for much of my tenancy. They also did not return my security deposit within the 30 day window. Avoid leasing from The Hamilton Company if possible.
