I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Peggy Chavez. She is always very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate to my issues, kind and friendly. Peggy has made my experience with the HOA painless. It's difficult dealing with plumbing issues constantly but she gives me the assurance I need to deal with it better. Thanks Peggy!

As an owner of a condo development in Brisbane managed by the Manor, my experience with this company has been nothing but negative, rude, unresponsive, consistent with other 1 star reviews. Someone should reminder them their business is customer-facing. It is time for owners to consider switching management company.

Business response:

04/28/18 - Dear Ky E - I was looking forward to helping you resolve your issue with the homeowners association, but have not yet heard back from you. I am still interested is helping and would appreciate hearing from you. If your concerns have been addressed to your satisfaction, would you kindly update your review. Thank you again and I look forward to assisting you. Dear Ky E. - I'm sorry for your negative experience with our staff. We would certainly like to assist you in resolving your issue with the homeowners asso... read more

This is a positive review particularly for Chris Pagnotta, who I would describe as the operations guy for the HOA (i.e., he is not actually a community manager). I have been a resident at 1001 Laurel Street in San Carlos since inception, which is managed by the Manor Association. I understand why it's a difficult job to manage each residential building - the HOA has high turnover with employees and the employees manage multiple home residential buildings. In addition, many of the CCR's and regulations are in legalese and it'... read more

MY CONDO water Damaged by Roof Leakage during rain... ================================================= My house was damaged on 14th Oct'16 due to rain water leakage thru roof... contacted HOA immediately. they finally fixed roof after three days(by 17th Nov) of water leakage.. (poor roof vendor & poor coordination within HOA mgmt and vendors). By that time, my kitchen, roof ceiling, floor was flooded with water leakage.. They sent Restoration company, they tried to dry creating holes in the wall, ceiling etc.. They estimate... read more

Well I woke up this morning to a notice on my car stating I do not have my permit sticker. around Sept 2015 I went down and signed up for the permit. I admit I didnt put my sticker on my car. But its about a year since then and no problems. Then all of a sudden theres an issue. Now I call into Manor and end up with Katy Rodriguez. Granted I was upset and probably snippy. She was completely rude off the bat. She stated I need to come down and pay a fee. She did not know that fee of hand which seems weird. Anyways we get going... read more

Business response:

Randy, we understand that parking is the source of far too much conflict and disagreement within a community. Unfortunately, many communities don't have enough parking spaces so it is necessary for Boards to enact and enforce parking rules and regulations. We at Manor don't make the parking rules nor do we enforce them. We are responsible for communicating the policy and for distributing passes, stickers or whatever the policy dictates. Unfortunately, we are also the point of contact when there is a dispute between a res... read more

As a homeowner who has interacted with Manor over the past decade for multiple inquires, service requests, etc. with consistently bad experiences, I must speak out here on Yelp to warn others who are considering using this company to manage their property. Manor provides under par at every level; providing records services on real estate required documents, service requests for all levels of repair orders, and providing guidance to HOAs to plan or facilitate capital repairs. Their game is to select low quality vendors to do... read more

Business response:

Alice - I would be happy to assist you with a service related issue if you would kindly share one with me. Your "review" appears to be nothing more than an editorial void of any factual information of our operation. Perhaps you are not a homeowner? Your reference to our "game" demonstrates how little you actually understand how an association operates. For example, Manor doesn't select contractors. The board selects contractors who are entirely independent of Manor. Manor does not profit from work performed by third pa... read more

They are the worst. I have called and emailed several times for the past two weeks to complain the sprinkler is broken behind my unit creating a fountain of water 6 foot high but still they do nothing. They take the message but nothing gets done. Maybe I have to complain to the county as we are still in a drought?

Business response:

Ann - We were able to locate the work order so I don't need your contact information. A work order had been dispatched to Gachina Landscaping when you first reported the problem. They were contacted today and instructed to the fix the sprinkler head immediately. We received a follow email from them this afternoon reporting that the problem had been fixed. If you see water shooting up from this area again, please let customer service know right away. Ann - I'm sorry that the sprinkler head has not yet been repaired. I a... read more

Hey, everyone - I got an email from the CEO of The Manor. Here is what he said to me at the end of his email. Nice, huh? "As an editorial on your misuse of social media, I think there is nothing more cowardly than to sabotage workers behind the vail of anonymity without any accountability. Many of those owners and workers are feeding a family, paying a mortgage, putting kids through school, and doing their best to help people like you. In my opinion, what you do on social media is cowardly, with no accountability, and damagi... read more

Business response:

4/19/16 - Yet another negative review from Leigh W. And, as in previous cases, it appears that your primary reason for calling concerns an issue involving a neighbor. As I am sure you have been advised, you should call the police if it involves your safety. I'm not sure how we could refuse to take your calls since the customer service department takes all incoming calls during business hours and calls are not screened. You have claimed before that calls have not been returned when in fact the calls logs suggest otherwise... read more

August 4th, the hot water pipe burst under my kitchen sink flooding my unit and the units below mine. We called manor to help figure out what needed to be done, and they told us someone was coming to clean it up. Hours later, no one had arrived and we had done the best we could on our own, so called again and apparently the person had gotten confused and thought they only needed to deal with the common areas. I also contacted my insurance about the repairs and such, and was told my insurance was responsible for the repairs a... read more

Business response:

Alegra - First I would like to say that I am very sorry for the delays in getting your home restored. The process has taken far too long and it appears there has been a lack of clear communication from/between the parties involved in this repair. I received some preliminary information from Shannon and I'm awaiting more information from the general contractor and the insurance company. I will contract you directly when I receive their reports. For purposes of clarification and to help the discussion going forward, I woul... read more
