I can’t recommend the Mardi Gras School of Cooking enough. Chef Raymond was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, and truly made the class such an amazing experience. This cooking class was literally the only planned activity of our entire trip—and it ended up being the absolute highlight. Chef Raymond’s passion, energy, and knowledge made the class fun, engaging, and unforgettable. The food was absolutely amazing, full of authentic flavor, and everything we made was delicious. If you’re visiting and only do one thing, m... read more

We had an amazing Team-Building Day at Mardi Gras School of Cooking! Cooking alongside Chef Mark was fun, engaging, and delicious from start to finish. We learned to make chicken and andouille gumbo, shrimp étouffée, and banana foster—all hands-on and packed with great tips and laughs. Chef Mark was knowledgeable, patient, and kept the energy high, making it a perfect experience for teams to connect while learning authentic Louisiana cooking. Highly recommend for a memorable team outing (or anyone who loves great food)! 🍽️... read more

Originally we were hoping for another class but we are sooooo glad this was the one we were able to do. It was as amazing as the first class we took which was the traditions class back in February. I can honestly say both were the best meals that we had while in NOLA and that’s saying a lot. We had Chef Raymond for both classes and he provided us with a great ti... read more

My family liked the whole experience learning the proper way to hold our knives, making broths that we can apply to our cooking, spicing and understanding that great taste may take more time but the flavors are worth it. I would recommend this cooking school to cooks wanting to bring their cooking experience to the next level. We loved the Sassy Chef!!!

Business response:

We are delighted to hear your family loved learning knife skills, broth making, and spicing techniques. Thank you for recommending us!

Hands on learning, you get to cook with them. Others I have been to just let you watch and taste the finished product, hear you are cooking and tasting the whole time.

Business response:

We sincerely value your feedback about our hands-on cooking experience. We're glad you enjoyed cooking and tasting throughout the class.
