This was a wonderful and fun experience! We were in town for Christmas and looking for fun experiences and My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Small Group of up to 8 - we had six and hands on experience. Recommend it to everyone.
We took the roux class and Chef Mark was our instructor. Chef Mark was great! He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Each couple had their own pot/pan and made gumbo, étouffée, and bananas foster. The environment is professional, yet relaxed. We felt comfortable and asked any questions we had. We will return for another class here when we are in NOLA. I highly recommend this cooking school. Thanks for a great class! We feel confident we can succeed in making our own dishes with roux as the base!
We had a blast with Chef Mark. We learned so much and had a awesome meal. This is a must while visiting NOLA for for lovers and cooks.
Everything about the Mardi Gras School of Cooking exceeded our expectations. Chef Preston was amazing. He is an excellent teacher of not only technique and cooking style but of the history behind the food. He is also a warm and engaging human who you can't help but connect with during the class. Don't miss the chance to take this class. 5 Stars!
We had an Amazing time! We went to celebrate our year anniversary as a group. We did not know what to expect. We were overjoyed with the experience! We had a blast! We learned a lot not only about cooking, but also about New Orleans history. Chef Preston was amazing! He was so informative, as well as fun! This class was a 10 out 10! The food was delicious and to top it all off BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS! If you are looking for a fun group experience, look no further! We highly recommend it!
Awesome!!! Amazing class and even better food. Chef Preston was a fantastic teacher. Thank you again!
The Brunch Cooking Class was AMAZING! The six of us gathered around Chef Preston as he taught us how to make the worlds best shrimp and grits and then, Crab Cake Benedict! His instruction was chock full of helpful tips and history of Louisiana cooking including the trials and tribulations of the French and Spanish. We all sat together and enjoyed the best brunch ever and took home memories for a lifetime. Chef Preston is a pro and he made our experience absolutely delightful! It’s a wonderful activity to plan for your ne... read more
My sister and I took the Creole cooking class with Chef Preston, who was both professional and easy going. Everything was extremely well organized and prepped. Preston was very good at passing on tips and tricks for cooking which were very helpful. We were able to prepare a delicious lunch and take back the leftovers. We really enjoyed our time and learned something! My only suggestion for improvement: please provide a printed copy of the recipes at the start of the class. I like to write notes directly on the recipes so I ... read more
