We had an Amazing time! We went to celebrate our year anniversary as a group. We did not know what to expect. We were overjoyed with the experience! We had a blast! We learned a lot not only about cooking, but also about New Orleans history. Chef Preston was amazing! He was so informative, as well as fun! This class was a 10 out 10! The food was delicious and to top it all off BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS! If you are looking for a fun group experience, look no further! We highly recommend it!

The Brunch Cooking Class was AMAZING! The six of us gathered around Chef Preston as he taught us how to make the worlds best shrimp and grits and then, Crab Cake Benedict! His instruction was chock full of helpful tips and history of Louisiana cooking including the trials and tribulations of the French and Spanish. We all sat together and enjoyed the best brunch ever and took home memories for a lifetime. Chef Preston is a pro and he made our experience absolutely delightful! My sister and I took the Creole cooking class with Chef Preston, who was both professional and easy going. Everything was extremely well organized and prepped. Preston was very good at passing on tips and tricks for cooking which were very helpful. We were able to prepare a delicious lunch and take back the leftovers. We really enjoyed our time and learned something! My only suggestion for improvement: please provide a printed copy of the recipes at the start of the class. I like to write notes directly on the recipes so I ... read more

Chef David was an outstanding instructor. Our class was educational and entertaining at the same time. We enjoyed the cooking experience and the historical education. The fact that they were able to accommodate our gluten allergy and allow us to cook the same recipes as everyone else was so very much appreciated. I would recommend the Mardi Gras School of Cooking to everyone!

Business response:

Great to hear from you, Donna! We appreciate your wonderful review and recommendation. Come see us again!

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the roux cooking class at The Mardi Gras School of Cooking. The space is well appointed, clean, and Chef Mark Falgoust was knowledable, fun, and personable. The hands on class with four was entertaining and included history, cooking techniques, and local restaurant recommendations. The food was delicious. We made chicken and andouille sausage gumbo using a dark roux, shrimp étouffée using a peanut butter colored medium roux, and bananas foster. We highly recommend this class.
