I didn't receive any communication from Laura until after I received my clear to close which was 4 hours before my closing. I understand it's a busy time, so I honestly was not upset by it. The thing that was most frustrating for me was getting a call at 5pm the day before closing on things that I felt could've been resolved at least 2 to 3 weeks beforehand. I was presented with new closing information and a need to provide ($6200 additional )2 hours before close. This delayed closing and was based on an undisclosed requirement to not use credit cards FOR ANY PURPOSE for 3 months since original approval. I had zero statement balance but i did have current charges. I needed dental care the day before closing. At least a 1 week clear to close is MUCH more traditional..

They let us move forward with loan process and 2 days before we moved brought up things that needed to be done during underwriting phase. It was a hassle to get everything done in time because we didn’t know it had to be done.

The communication was very spotty. You could never get anyone on the phone if you had and any concerns or questions. It felt very hands off & to a new home buyer it feels like your on an island when most of your communication is via email.

We were first time homebuyers and felt that the communication was poor. We had to reach out first just to get updates on the next step. We would call and leave voicemails and never received a call back. We understand that the Bank South office was busy however customer service is important especially for new buyers who may have questions. One lady from the Bank South team was rude a couple of times via email. We are thankful that we had help from our realtor and thankful that we made it through.

The lender was not transparent at all. I felt I was being discriminated and was being treated equally.
