I have been with this company since 2018 and it is now 2020 and I am still not out of my timeshare. I read other reviews about it takes some time to get out but how long are we talking about? 5 years, 10 years? I haven’t had much communication with the company because they do not give updates like they promised. It would really help if they could give a better time line on how long the process takes. There seems to be a definite pattern here... I just received my exit confirmation after about 3 years. I went through Time Share Exit Team after my father heard about them on **** ******. **** ****** is such a huge supporter of helping people get out of debt and his a trusted household name; thus, I felt confident in hiring this company. We originally sought out the services of this company to get us out of our time share, after years with little to no contact, I took care of getting out the timeshare myself and now I am being refused a refund for services that they did not render. On January 13, 2017 we retained the services of ReedHein & Associates and the Timeshare Exit Team. During the pitch to get us to use them, they stated that they have successfully exited people in 6 months, but it could take up to 18 months. They told us to stop paying any fees. In... read more

Got out of our timeshare after 3 1/2 years, glad about that. They have very poor communication. I usually only heard from them if I insisted contact. I was told that it usually takes 12-18 months, yes I know it was an estimate, just think that 42 months was too long!

I decided to use Timeshare Exit Team because of Dave Ramsey recommendation. James W They told me it could take 12-18 months to get out of my timeshare. After almost 20 to 22 months they still had not gotten me out. I was able to contact my Timeshare and found out they offered a transition program to exit my timeshare. So after paying almost $6K to Timeshare Exit Team I only paid $250 to my Timeshare to get out of my contract. Looks like I should have contacted my Timeshare instead of the Exit Team. The only correspondence we received from Time Share Exit during the 15 month period was the monthly email saying they received our payment. Even when we contacted them for an update, we were repeatedly told they “were working on a settlement”. The only reason we finally got out of our timeshare is because we stopped making the payment and received a settlement offer from a collection agency. The exit team was absolutely no help. They took our payment up front, we followed all of the directives including not using our points and paying maintenance fees for 3 years while they kept giving us the run around. "We are close", "Hang in there, it will take a little more time", in the end, we did it ourselves. There is an exit department (or something like that) on many timeshare websites. You can do this yourself. It is easy and significantly less expensive. Don't use this service, or any other for that matter.

I signed up with the program and nothing. In the beginning when I called the 800 number, I got, "we are restructuring but your case is being reviewed" many months and lots of calls later, I was informed my case was assigned to "Summer" who emailed me 2 letters to review and send, after that nothing. I have called at least 10 times and Summer is not calling me back. I have no idea what is happening if anything. I am a little torn about reviewing this company. I had them get me out of 2 timeshares - one in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and the other one in Montana - at an initial cost on a little over $6000. They got me out of the one in Mexico within a couple of months. I had to pay a $500 cancellation fee to the resort but once I paid that they let me out with no problem. Makes me wonder if I had just called the resort and asked to get out of the contract if I would have had the same result. The Montana resort was a whole different issue.... read more
