Tim Sutherland and the entire Suntrust team was excellent! Our loan closed within the time frame promised. Tim was always very prompt at returning my phone calls and emails, often within minutes. I was kept well informed at every stage of the loan process. He is very knowledge and able to answer my questions. I would definately use Tim again and refer him to my family and friends.

Tim Sutherland is a great loan officer, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone who is in search for a loan officer. Tim helped me to purchase my first home in the San Francisco Bay Area. I first made contact with Tim in August 2001. He did a refinance for me when others were telling me that it could not be done. Tim kept us informed and educated during the entire process and that made a BIG difference, providing us with peace of mind. We just bought a home in Severna Park, Md and what a fantastic experience! We used Tim Sutherland at Suntrust and I have to say he has communication down to a scince. Each thing that happens we would receive an email telling us what happened when and what will happen next along with how long it will take. We were really fortunate to find Tim Sutherland and his team in the Zillow Mortgage Marketplace. Tim took a really long journey with us because we got to build a semi-custom home so we had to have a pre-approval, the builder's bank wanted us to be re-qualified right before construction started and then came the actual loan processing once the home neared completion. I recently completed the purchase of a short sale property, and believe me, it wasn't easy. Nothing to do with Sun Trust or Tim's team, the drama was more caused by the selling agent and bank... but we won't go into that except to say, that Tim and his wonderful team were great. Sun Trust had me qualified and ready to fund 2 weeks before the scheduled escrow closure. We were in a bit of a rush to close on the house and it was the holiday season. Tim and his team were able to get the loan closed in about a month in spite of the the holidays and we got very good rates.They did a good job communicating the status of the loan application and staying on top of it to ensure that the loan closes on time. Tim was also extremely responsive to email, most of the time he replied to emails within minutes, even when he was on vacation. I would strongly recommend Tim.
