Mr. Sutherland and his team were completely accurate, honest, and helpful throughout the process. I was initially a bit weary working only over the phone and internet, but our application, approval, and closing all went perfectly smoothly. (I did monitor the process and called/emailed regularly to confirm information was received, etc.) The rate he initially quoted was 0.2% better than any other quote I was given. I was able to lock-in without difficulty and there were absolutely no surprises. I highly recommend him.

Tim and his team were very professional and closed my purchase loan within 32 days as promised at the best rate I could find. No last minute surprises. Tim was very responsive and answered the phone every time I called. The loan processor was also very responsive and answered my calls and emails immediately. In all, it was a very good experience and I would strongly refer Tim for all mortgage needs.

I got estimates from 2 other banks/brokers for a loan, but the APR that Tim was able to offer was significantly lower. Tim's underwriting team was very thorough and detail oriented with a lot of requests for documentation... this process took time Tim's team pulled through in time for closing ... overall a positive experience. Tim was available late evenings/weekends to respond to my emails and his team is very efficient. I would definitely do business with Tim again.

Closed on a $625K purchase loan in Arlington, VA with Tim and team on 4/18. The locked rate and lender credit were so much better than any other lender that I had my doubts they were real. But the SunTrust team delivered as promised. Would definitely close another transaction with them.

I shopped around for a 30 yr fixed jumbo, out of the 5 lenders I spoke with, Tim had the best rate. Tim helped me locked in a fantastic rate for 90 days and held my hands through every step of the loan approval process. His team is responsive and kept me informed.
