Tim is a 5-Star loan officer all around, and his assistant Donna and his processor Karen Wilson are both very impressive as well. I received a good online quote for a Jumbo loan, and followed up with Tim. Tim asked a few questions over the phone and was able to find a SunTrust special mortgage product which we qualify, with an amazingly lower rate and APR. Let me begin by saying I was skeptical of using a big-bank lender at first. It has usually been my experience that big anything is more expensive. With Tim and SunTrust, I got the lowest rate I and great service. I worked with Tim over the past year on two different loans. The first was very complex and Tim did a lot of work on it. I cannot recommend Tim highly enough. Our home purchase loan was not a typical straight forward case, requiring special justification letters, conference calls with credit bureaus and what not — but Tim guided us through and delivered everything on time. His knowledge and experience is reassuring and most importantly, he is always reachable by phone and answers your emails promptly.

All I can say is Hooray for Tim Sutherland. He's the man! It goes like this....I went onto BankRate.com and searched for 30 year fixed mortgage rates. Tim from SunTrust bank popped up. I responded to the popup and wrote send me info. It was 2:30am. Tim has a blackberry and was going to drain the bladder at 2:30am and responded to my email. Tim was available on weekends, nights, holidays. He spent a few hours with me on the phone as I uploaded file after file. I bought a house in Detroit. Many lenders don't like to deal with properties in Detroit, but Suntrust didn't mind. Tim Sutherland came highly recommended through online reveiws, and after a brutally long shortsale process, I can honestly say that Tim was one of the FEW bright spots in the whole horrid process.
