"Time means nothing!" They called me to set up my final warranty appointment on my Prius. Set up a 10am appointment. Got there early and was informed that this was not my final oil change but just them doing a final check. 3 1/2 hours later, appointment times mean nothing here by the way. I am informed I owe $42. Why? Because I had too many miles for it to be my final warranty appointment. Then why did you call me? They did a tire rotation and fluid check only. I can do that myself!
"Disorganized, disrespectful of customer timr" 11:10 appt, , 10 cars in line...made contact w/ a service person at 11:30—promised 90 min service (simple: oil, totes, lube etc). Uhh we’re running late I had an appt and they’re advertising just drop in (other Toyota and Subaru dealers seem to be able to handle this). Got my car back at 2:15. Complained via email to the “service mgr” sic named Scott Michael... not ONE response. I’m looking for alternative Toyota service...NO customer service here
"Terrible customer service!" I do not recommend Toyota of Portland service department. Terrible communication, long wait times and inconsistent information/processes among staff, all for run of the mill, basic mechanic work. It’s not worth your waste of time. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle to a service department that actually desires your business.
"Bait and switch purchase of a new Tacoma" We were sold a new Tacoma with an extended warranty. We were told at the time of purchase that we could cancel the additional warranty at any time for a full refund. We submitted the requested paper work 8 weeks ago, and have had no return phone call, no response to in person requests for help, and when contacting the third party warranty company, they've said no information has been provided to them. "Keeps getting worse!" I reluctantly bought a certified pre-owned car here- that experience was the most terrible I’ve ever had. Don’t buy here. The service even before I bought here has gotten progressively WORSE. I’ve had Toyotas for 20+ years, but I am done. For the past few years, whenever I take a car in for service, they try to upsell me or try to sell me services/repairs that aren’t necessary. "Mistaken Identity" I have never purchased a car from Toyota of Portland, nor have I had my car serviced by them. I have asked them repeatedly to remove my email address and phone number, but they keep sending me stuff. To be fair, my guess is that Toyota of Portland is under the same ownership as KIA of Portland, and that somehow, my information was mixed up with a person named John who purchased a Toyota from Toyota of Portland. "No followup" 3 phone calls, 6 emails and still can't get information on buying a new truck. Trying to get information on a model with specific extras. Even chatted with the general manager and still can't get an email to see if they can get the truck in. Guess this place is not interested in making a cash sale! Don't bother going in, it's not worth your time.
"Time Taken Advantage Of..." I had my first deeply negative experience at Toyota of Portland. So much so, I’m considering going somewhere else for routine maintenance and oil changes. I had scheduled a 2pm oil change and 95,000 maintenance service (because a service card reminder was sent to my house & my mileage was over my oil change sticker).
