The food was mediocre, for the price point it was not worth it.
Bad service awful food and very noisy expensive too
Slow service. Food was cold. So loud could not hear across a 2 person table.
I've been here several times and it was a favorite of my dad's for years. This was the most disappointing experience I've had at a New York restaurant in a long time. We were rushed upstairs to a table that was shoved in a corner and very awkward. Waiters couldn't get by us without us having to duck. I had the lasagna and my date had the meat ravioli. Very, very disappointing meal. I’ve been dining at Trattoria for years, but recently something has changed. This is now the second time I’ve been very unhappy with the food. I brought a friend from out of town and was embarrassed by the low food quality. My pasta with shrimp was pitiful. Two 1/2 shrimp on a mush of overbooked pasta. Too crowded..noisy, not a pleasant place...pushy staff, nasty and demanding customers, FOOD IS OVERPICED. tables are solaced inches apart....NOT a place to have a nice and relaxing dinner. Look across the street to Molyvos who got it right!!!!
Place was buzzy with loud, happy people. Service was very good, we had fun discussing the art, but the food was just not good at all. Apps, salads, mains, desserts, just really mediocre.
Below average food, waiter seemed confused with orders, we ended up getting other people's food. The maitre'd offered a VIP table, but we were seated in a busy traffic area.
