I’ve been going there for many years and, as of last week , I’m planning to never go again. Might have picked out a busy night but the service was terrible , waiters kept bumping into me to serve the tables next to us. I had food spilled on me , a table slammed on my ribs, the noise level was horrific and the waiters were just clueless. Very surprised . I had read that the service was excellent here, well it was not when I went. The server didn’t approach our table (even to ask which type of water we wanted) for almost ten minutes. After receiving appetizers, we had to request silverware as their had not been any on our table (this was also requested by the two other tables near me). Bland cuisine, very overpriced for what you get. It is a tourist trap.
So many better places to go in Manhattan. Food was bland and presentation was sloppy. Waiter inattentive. . Group of 5, expensive for poor quality food and experience.
We were six ! Our waiter was rude and not accommodating . We requested coffee and was told we might get it . He often bumped on purpose our dinners . Everyone was not pleased and we did not tip him
Waiter didn’t listen to our inquiries about their recommendation, and didn’t give us proper advice. He treated us as the last persons whom they want to serve.
I have generally always liked this restaurant and proximity to Carnegie Hall. This was a bad experience. The food was mediocre at best and the service was poor. The pasta was so overcooked it tasted like gelatinous water. The lasagna is billed as their house specialty. I would never order it again.
We were seated, just before ordering we were told that we couldn’t seat at that table. It was pretty rude so we decided to leave. They kept offering free dinner if we stayed. The food is always good, but we left with a bad taste in our mouths.
Very disappointed. Diner service in a high end restaurant. I visit New York 4 times a year. I always bring my guests to this restaurant. On top of no knowledge of high end restaurant service waitress had also an attitude. Last time here for sure.
