A real disappointment. Sloppy food prep, chaotic service, choppy space.
This was a special birthday dinner for which we made an advance reservation. Arrived at restaurant to find linecoutcthe door. Host just sat us at any table and did not even ask about reservation. Restaurant very loud and crowded. Waiter rushing around, brought salad, appetizer and dinner all at one time. Temperature of food was cold. Very disappointed at the dining experience.
Not a positive experience. The restaurant way overbooked and there were many people waiting long past their reservation time. The hostess station is in the middle of the restaurant so there was a line winding it’s way around the room as people tried to check in. Now add servers trying to deliver food. Now imagine sitting at a table and getting jostled as you try to eat. Will not come here again. Only recommended if you go during off hours.
At the early hour of 5 p.m., before the restaurant had even 6 customers, we were greeted by an extremely abrupt and rude male maitre di, who instantly blew off our inquiry about being seated in one particular dining area. He was even ruder when I explained that I had an additional reservation for Trattoria two nights later, and in spite of having directly in front of him repeat customers for later in the week, he very rudely blew us off. waited 25 minutes for table even though we had a 730 reservation booked 3 weeks in advance and asked for main dining room. the first table in balcony offered was so bad I would hit my head on the ceiling that was only about 6'5''high so they stuck us in a narrow seating area unfit for 2 people My right arm was about 6'' from the next table. tHE ANTIPASTI WAS AWFUL: Potato au gratin tasteless and like cardboard..mushrooms grainy and over salted,; caponata was good. Just super disappointing. We have been going for years but haven’t been for awhile. Terrible service. It took two hours to get our food! Mine came raw. (Swordfish special). They never came over. Never tried to rectify situation. Final straw. They couldn’t even get us our check!! My husband had to go to the bar. They even deleted our reservation to try not to get a bad review. The said ‘sorry’. Nothing more. Just poor customer service. We won’t go back.
The worst service I have ever experienced. We had to ask for silver ware, napkins, they forgot one but would bring the other. They forgot our drinks & charged us for it. It was my moms birthday & they brought out dessert that we didn't order & charged us for it. They removed it because I asked. Overall horrible experience. I would not recommend it at all
Had terrible waiter no service at all. Table was not set properly, no bread given, no specials, had to ask for everything even napkins. Saw the waiter to order and that was it. never came by once to check on us. Terrible service very unhappy. wish we had a better time for my husbands birthday. The service was chaotic and very poor. The waiter tried but the broader management were chaotic. They could not cope with the volume of people and the food was very average.
