It was too expensive for mediocre food. The individual pizza for children was $27.00 and it was nothing special. The music was piped in so loudly as well that you couldnt hear

Everytime I get to NYC, this is my first stop. I now regret it. My daughter visited about a year ago - they messed up the order and took forever to bring to the table. My experience was a bit different. At check in, the Maitre'D passed out Prosecco's to the folks in front of me, and the folks behind me. OK? I was then seated. More than half an hour later, the bus boy noticed I had been at the table for a while - told one of the waiters, who came to check on my - nope no-one has come to my table yet, I told him. He apologized... read more

Food's usually good, but the NOISE, downstairs especially, is a spoiler. So is the abrupt and perturbed attitude of the "Maitre d'" We had a good server, upstairs, but Maitre d' denied us the table we preferred and requested because "it was reserved". (We had a reservation, I hasten to add.) That deuce remained open for the entire 90 minutes we sat there, uncomfortable, at another table very close to the stairs, dealing with the draft, updrafting noise, and general sense of lack of stability in that spot. I go to Carnegie Ha... read more

Nothing spectacular here. Mediocre food and the paper table clothes really detract from the overall experience. When we spend over $100 for dinner (plus wine) we expect a little more effort. The salad was really bad. It tasted like it had been soaked in mayo. Our server was curt and actually asked for a better tip (we did tip what we believed was fair - over 15%.) We won't be back, ever.

The food is awful. Soup was bland. Pasta was salty. Branzino was dry.

Food was served all at once, cold, dropped on the floor without apology, we had to ask to replace it, and the bill included wine we didn't order. I do not recommend this restaurant. Maitre D' did not seem to care

We have been going here for years when we visit New York. This time was pretty bad as they were overwhelmed and began to seat people in the basement. I had a 7:30 reservation and I had to fight my way to the podium to let them know I was there. The line was next to tables and I can"t imagine seating at one of these where people are hovering all night next to the table. The host greeted me and said "I have a perfect table next to our fireplace". Right! Next to the kitchen door where if I stood up I could get a glimpse of the ... read more

A madhouse of a place good only because it's across the street from Carnegie Hall and close to City Center. Brash waiter service, no appologies when they bump into your chair repeatedly because of too close spacing. Unremarkable food at ridiculous overpricing. Left with a headache. Manhattan streets seemed quiet in comparison!
