This has been a standby for me for over 25 years for every sort of occasion and particularly visitors - but looks like this relationship is ending . Hadn't been for some months and took some family from out of town. Something has happened to the food. So ordinary, bland and just not what I had ever experienced before. I thought the food was mediocre and the service slow.
SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE! Food came 2 minutes after salads arrived and they just threw the main dishes on the table and tried to take salads away before they were eaten. Very loud. Food was good but very bad service.
I was really disappointed with the evening experience. The staff was courteous, that's the good part. Outside of that, the service was spotty, one of the entrees got lost so we were at the table with 3 entrees cooling while we waited for the 4th. Finally we agreed to proceed, when the 4th entree arrived it was cool to the touch as if it was prepared with the other three but mis-placed. I can't vouch for the food. Because my companion and I left. We arrived early for our reservation but were told that was no problem. The restaurant was 98% empty. It still took several minutes to be seated because apparently the woman at the desk was not actually authorized to seat anyone...she had to wait for someone else. So then we were seated. Very disappointing pre-theater mzeal. Table is packed too closely together, noise level is horrendous,not recommended at all. I had been there years previously when it first opened it is now a very different affair .
This restaurant is getting tired. The place is dirty including the bathrooms which are a mess. Staff are short handed so service is slow and confused.
I felt very rushed in this restaurant. Our reservations were for 5:30 as we had a concert at 7:30, we were finished at 6:15. Not a relaxing dinner at all. Food was so so. Server was attentive.
Worst experience my wife and me had the short ribs and were sick for 2 days terrible
