Such a disappointment after a fun day in city with my family. Should have left upon arrival after host was rude. And then should have left once my appetizer came before our drinks or our water. And then when we inquired about our drinks they took away our half eaten appetizer to make room for our entrees (we had been there maybe 15 minutes) and still did not bring us our cocktails or fill our water glasses. Ordered the ceasar salad and served without cheese or croutons or anchovies. Ordered the chicken cacciatore and came in a jus not red sauce with minced veggies. Very disappointing. The waiter was nice and comped the prosecco and threw in an artichoke.
Poor service & mediocre food. This restaurant is not what it used to be!
I am a regular at Trattoria del Arte. But on this occasion, the assistants to the experienced server failed to order and then delivered our food out of sequence and very late. I had to complain to both the server, who was embarassed, and the Maitre D'. In the end, our entire meal was comped. This should not happen in a restaurant the caliber of Trattoria del Arte. The young assistant serving staff needs to be much better trained by the restaurant!
This was a HUGELY disappointing meal at a restaurant that used to be fantastic. Service could not have been worse, slower, disorganized and the entire management of the place seems to be lacking. Very sad to see such a formerly great restaurant sink this far down - I will NOT be returning and recommend that people stay away.
There was garbage swirling all around the outdoor seating. At one point a McDonald's bag landed in the servers hand, who then just threw it down to the ground - rather than making sure it ended up in the proper receptacle. There was a cigarette filter stuck to the bottom of the appetizer plate, which was left behind on the table when the plate was removed. Unfortunately dinner on Saturday, April 29 was my worst restaurant experience in years, almost ever. Why.. I chose the restaurant for a special occasion. After a somewhat rude welcome from the Maitre D, the waiter brought the wrong main to our guest. That was after about 1 hour after ordering at the earliest. The waiter said it would take a "little while" but all of us finished our meals before the correct main arrived 20 or more minutes later. Awful service this time but always great food and most time ok service They do it right at the end
Have eaten at this restaurant many time before but probably never again. Was told that the "regular" part of the restaurant was not open yet and they tried to seat us at a table basically with another couple I asked if we could have the booth that was in front and was told no, we left
