Made a reservation for 4 on a Sunday evening. Ushered to a crowded booth and despite ordering a $200 bottle of wine, were treated very poorly. Food was brought out slowly and cold. Very disappointed.
Slow service, bland food for the price. Not great. Would not go back
We had terrible service. Our waitress barely spoke to us. She seemed to have very little interest in our table. Another waiter was helping out not sure what his role was. I never received my meal. We never received half of our appetizer. Then we didn't see a waiter for a long time. We finally started getting our coats on then they brought the bill! I will never go again
If you know what real Italian food is, don't eat here. Bad service. App was ICE cold when it was supposed to be hot. Tables are typical NYC restaurant, crammed together. Main dishes were just ok. On a positive note, first restaurant I have been to that isn't overly salted and the cannoli is amazing. Also, I mentioned it was my 30th birthday and they didn't do anything special despite other tables celebrating birthdays and got a special dessert. My entire was tasteless. Even salt didn't improve it. It's replacement wasn't much better.
Poor service. There was barely anyone in the restaurant but it took several attempts to get a high chair and iced tea and water. Our food was subpar. Surprising because we've had a good dining experience before (a year ago). The appetizers were soggy and not very good. My pasta with white clam sauce was very salty. Unusually disappointing experience. Granted it was Thanksgiving eve and the restaurant was packed, but 1.5 hours after being seated, our entree still had not emerged from the kitchen. Our waiter told us it would be five more minutes, but 10 minutes later I told the manager we had had it. He graciously comped our split of wine and we left after paying for our appetizer and cocktails. Clearly the kitchen was overwhelmed. I fault the restaurant was seating more people than the kitchen could handle.
This had been one of my favorite Italian restaurants, but had not been back for about 2 years moved south). Menu has changed with less Italian orientation (how can that be when you are an Italian place?) and seems like fewer choices. Bread offered was not good. Appetizer plate just so so. With 4 people we had 3 different choices that we all felt were ok but not great . My dish--Carbonara was tasteless--no garlic flavor, weak cheese flavor. Do not know when things changed but will be looking for a new go to Italian place
This was our 2nd visit and both times the service was not good. Waitress did not check on us hardly at all. All the staff are running around like crazy,not a relaxed atmosphere for dining, very noisy.
