I am always pleasantly surprised with how consistently good this restaurant is. The service is terrific, available and warm. There is great variety in the available dishes which are always good. This is always a fun place to take friends!
A very disappointing Wedding Anniversary Dinner. We booked early because of a Concert across the road at Carnegie Hall. When we arrived it was so busy we had to wait in a long line. We sat in a walkway where my chair was kicked by every passerby. The food was great when we finally recieved it. Our waiter got lost and hardly came near us. I also am hard of hearing and the incredible noiseyness of the place was horrible. Not Happy
Restaurant too cramped and noisy. Waiters bumped me three times reaching in to diners. It was not a good dining experience. I felt like I was there to be served quick and leave.
Really overpriced for food that was less than good. A gigantic, paper-thin pizza with uninteresting sauce for $25? A pasta al pesto for $30? My ribollita (minestrone) was bitter and tasteless. I kept adding salt and asked for EVOO to drizzle over it to doctor it up. A $17 glass of chardonnay was the biggest insult.
I booked this resto. at 8 pm on a Friday for a birthday celebration. It came highly recommended from a client who visits NYC often for business. The food was EXCEPTIONAL from the super thin crust pizza cooked to perfection (a must), to the dessert (cannoli, a little sweet but divine), to the wine (Pinot - intense) and coffee (espresso perfection), and for this reason only I would go back. I recommend booking after 8:30 pm if you wish to have a quiet and romantic dinner. Before that you have all the Broadway goers dining and ... read more
this had been our favorite NYC restaurant. Had not been there for about 3 years. Almost everything has gone downhill from the food to the rest rooms and vibe. Worst of all the antipasto bat where we could choose a variety of items including seafood as we knew it is no more!! The entire dining experience needs a total updating.
I was quite surprised when i was charged for tap water, that was a real turn off
Extremely overpriced compared to other years. A total waste of food due to exagerated plate size. $32 for a lasagna and $50 for a veal parmegian. Will not go back.
We felt very hurried, branzino had no taste at all, in general the food and service quality were poor. Desert selection was very limited.
