Could be much better. Too many tables for such space
Very disappointed in this experience. The food was marvelous and our individual server was great. But the hostess first attempted to seat us partially in a doorway!!! And the next table was not much better. They need to do better!!
PREVIOUSLY MY #1 DINING CHOICE IN NYC. My recent visit, however, was horrible. We were seated at the table adjacent to the antIpasta bar--where EVERYONE CONGREGATES before being seating. It was TOO NOISY, TOO CROWDED AND we were grossly neglected by the waitstaff. My dining partners objected constantly during the evening about noise, distractions and inattentive staff. Cant miss going to Trattoria Dell'Arte if you are in NYC.... wonderful food and atmosphere.
we felt like we were on an assebly line in a cafeteria. while the food was good, it was so noisy and so frantic that it was not enjoyable. we would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was exceptionally bland and very high-priced. You pay for convenience to Carnegie Hall not for food quality!
If this restaurant weren't near Carnegie Hall, it wouldn't survive. The food is mediocre and over-priced; the service is incompetently abrasive; and room is noisy.
I have been here a few times... This was the worst! I had the GF pasta with clam sauce. The pasta was good in texture and taste but the sauce was terrible. Cannolis and Lemon Pie. Decaf coiffed served had to be leftover from earlier. Grey looking and burnt taste. I am a veteran New Yorker... This place is convenient for a performance at Carnegie b... read more
Our 2nd visit was not as enjoyable as our 1st. The first time we were a foursome and the table was great. This time just 2 and all the twosomes are packed into small tables along the perimeter. Much too tight! Impossible to have a conversation. Never again unless more than two!
