I hired TruGreen in 2003 to help establish the lawn for our new build home. The weed control was lacking. We never went a summer without pulling buckets of weeds and spot killing weeds. Due to poor results, above market pricing and over aggressive sales tactics, we fired TruGreen in 2010. I went with Scott's and was very pleased with the service and results. Buyer Beware!! First off, I do not write reviews. I typically go directly to the business to let them know of my issues. I have done this numerous times and still have not received a resolution to my problem. With that being said, I have been a customer of TruGreen's for 3 years. My yard has been beautiful up until this Summer when our yard was sprayed with a chemical that fried our fescue. There is a path of dead grass where the chemical was sprayed. UPDATE: TruGreen CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL: As customary, TruGreen's response to 10/23/18 Yelp review below is to invite me to contact them (as if I haven't done so before and evidenced below). They fail to provide service and the customer is to chase TruGreen to schedule "remedy" service appointment. Would never recommend trugreen to anyone. After hearing multiple people tell me not to go with them I did anyway only because they "guarantee" their work. After fighting for months to get a manager to come out I've finally had enough. I finally had someone who was filling in for a manager call me. Said he would come out to my house Friday 10/05. Deceptive practices... We called in June for a retreat as our yard was full of weeds. They did come and retreat (with what I'm not sure). Then I received a bill in the mail for service performed on July 3rd. We had a lot of company coming and going that day and I didn't recall TruGreen being one of them, so I reviewed my security camera. No TruGreen for that entire week! I am very disappointed with the service I received from TruGreen. I signed on with them in April 2018. For the first month or two, my yard looked great. Then, I began noticing crab grass popping up everywhere and I noticed my Japanese Maple's leaves turning brown. Being an optimist, I waited to see if things would improve. They only got worse. Take your business somewhere else. I have talked about the service this company provides with multiple neighbors. We have all had the same negative experience. Signed up for service back in Feb 2018 and had no weeds or lawn issues. After a month or two I noticed the tech only spent 10 - 15 mins at my house and some weeds popping up so called customer service to complain and was told it would be discussed with driver. I normally do not write reviews but this time I have too. For the second time in 6 months TruGreen has failed. They only treat half of my yard and charge me full price. I know this because my cameras tell the truth. Deceptive sales team.
