The final installers who came out and actually installed my windows did an excellent job. Universal Windows however did a horrible job scheduling the installation. They cancelled on me at the last minute several times and continually did not note that a tall enough ladder needed to be brought despite the fact that they knew I lived on the third floor. They were completely unaccommodating to my frustrations and I would not recommend Universal to anyone due to their lack of professionalism.
So many things went wrong from the start. The window measurements were incorrect. Only 2 of the 7 windows were right. New windows were ordered. Months pass without a word. We have to call to get updates. Finally the day came for window installation, and the 2 windows that were correct could not be found. Instead of waiting for all of the windows we opted for the installation of 5 that were correct in case they were lost while waiting for the other 2. The sales pitch perfect. The delivery was delayed beyond reason, excuses were plentyful. The product is suspect.
Everything was fine up until the day of the install. After they left I noticed they scuffed my bedroom furniture. Instead of working to fix the problem, the customer service team never returned my email. For this, I’d have to say I would not recommend to anyone. We spent too much money to not have these things taken care of. I’m disappointed.

The windows are great but working with the installers was not.
They subbed out my project to a Chicago crew that only worked half a day and left the project with large gaps between the new windows and walls, incorrectly made flashing and exterior trim that needs to be replaced and they didn’t caulk around the exterior trim. After a week of complaining they sent another guy out who made a huge mess with adding caulk as a temporary fix to try to waterproof the windows until they can send out another crew to redo all of the trim.
