My wife was in 2 different nursing homes before we were able to get her back into Vasona, where she had stayed for 3 weeks last year. Let me tell you, Vasona is head and shoulders above the other 2 nursing homes. The facility itself is much better than the others. Although the rooms are not much bigger, they are more pleasant. Also, there is much more general space outside the rooms where residents can have their meals, watch TV, or watch entertainment brought into the large piano room now and then. This year my mother had to stay at Vesona Creek rehab as well as the long term stay. She was discharged after a month and half. I would like to thank the staff for their professionalism and caring heart especially Roxxana and Marie who were my mother's social workers, Sam from rehab and Hellen and Phillip from Nursing. My mother and I highly recommend Vesona Creek Healthcare Center.

My mother recently had to stay here for a short term rehabilitation after having been hospitalized for 6 days with a very bad flu. I was so nervous at first because I was not sure whether or not I should leave her or take her home. My mom had never been to a skilled nursing facility so she was apprehensive as well. My 96 year old father just spent 31 days at Vasona Creek. We were very pleased with all the services. They took very good care of my father. We were there every day of his stay and went in at different times of the day and always found my father to have been very well taken care of. The therapists OT and PT were all excellent.

I don't normally post anything on social media but I feel that this warrants an exception. My family has been through such a difficult time this year with the passing of our beloved nephew and mother within five months of each other. My mom spent the last month and a half of her life at Vasona Creek; and as difficult as it was, she found comfort, solace, and friendships during her stay. My husband and I were in a very serious motorcycle accident. After an extensive hospital stay for both of us, we were relocated to Vasona Creek Health Care for rehab. We were at Vasona Creek for 3 months. They were so accommodating to us and found us a large room to share. When we first got there we were unable to do anything for ourselves, including get to the toilet, roll over or even sit up by ourselves. The care and compassion we received was amazing. My 90 yr. old mother recently left after almost 5 week stay. She was well taken care of during this stay. (My mom and I speak a second language so we could talk about her experiences freely.) If there were any minor "hiccups, " they were quickly remedied. The staff from top to bottom were polite and responsive to both of us. My 80yr father fractured his hip and stayed at Vasona for a few weeks to do his rehab. He could not walk when he checked in and walked out of the center with a walker when he was done. Positives - The PT and OT people are great. They will work with the patients twice a day and the patients will get better if they are willingly to exercise.
