Guarantee/Warranty Issues I needed to rent a home as quickly as possible due to a job offer. I contacted Vinebrook Homes snd filled out the LENGTHY application on their website. I told them I was out of state. We were approved, upon meeting the agent at the house to sign the lease we noticed a moldy musty smell. The kitchen floor LITERALLY sinks to the middle of the room. Problems with Product/Service I'm renting a house from Vinebrook homes and I am paying 1400.00 per month for a 4 bedroom 2 and a half bath. I have been asking no begging them for the past 2 weeks to come out and fix a plumbing problem. I can't take a bath or shower I have raw sewage coming up in my laundry room which is on the main floor. me and my 4 kids have been living in a Motel for the last 5 days that has cost me 600.00 on top of the 1400.00 I have paid in rent.
Problems with Product/Service When My family and I first moved into our new place which is Vinebrook homes we were given a Two week time period to write down anything we noticed that was wrong or needed fixed we did so and sent the email to the property and also put in a maintenance order and no one has responded to the maintenance order or the email. we have several things in our apartment that still hasn't been fixed and we also have paid rent on time leading up to the months we have been living here.
Problems with Product/Service I just received a letter in the mail 2 days ago from the City of Columbus Department of public utilities stating " This letter is not a demand for payment from you. However, water service at the address referenced below will be terminated on 10/05/2021 UNLESS the following happens" They receive payment of 461.26 by 9/28/2021 OR if I pay my rent into an escrow with Franklin county Municipal court and notify them back by 9/28/2021 My issue with this is 1. Billing/Collection Issues I was denied a house rental by Vinebrook homes. After filling out their rental form to the letter, in which I meet all their qualifications. Taking my money for the application fee, telling me I'm good to go. Then being told I need something else to prove/provide. Getting the run around, noone returning my calls. Billing/Collection Issues 6/17/2021 there was a garage fire at our residence. Through forensics, it was learned that it was electrical. It took Vinebook nearly 90 days to have the structure cleaned up, and action was only taken after they received a letter from the health department. I was told it was due to insurance taking a long time to process. Now the mess is clean, but the garage will not rebuilt and I do not understand why we had to wait so long for insurance, only for it not to be used to replace what was lost. The c... read more
Advertising/Sales Issues I rented from vinebrook homes and moved out at the end of lease on 8/3/21. After emailing several times regarding refunding my security deposit I received an email stating the full refund was mailed to my forwarding address on 8/30 but the address they said it was sent to is the wrong address so therefore I have not received it. I have emailed, called office about 20 times and cannot get a call back. All I am asking is that the prior check be canceled and be issued another to the appropriate address.
