Don’t download this app because I have experienced an unusual problem of the vonage telephone number not working upon using this app. For example, the phone line has been working perfectly but I was unable to place a phone call using that number and when I was using this phone to place a call to my home vonage phone line, it was recorded that the ‘phone number is temporarily unavailable’. “Or the number you are calling is temporary unavailable”. It’s too easy to unintentionally terminate a call by accidentally tapping the gigantic END button in the app. Please make it smaller and not so prominent.
Vonage extension app was innovative and great. Now laggy and the connection is bad even with strong WiFi signal. App stops working randomly. It’s still a great feature but Vonage gave up on maintaining the app so it’s function is going down.
They promised 4 Cents/minute to call my destination but charged $.34/minute once I signed up. Not only that, my cell phone company was charging me for the same calls that originated from Vonage! I complained but they didn’t do anything about it. In all I was charged hundreds of dollars for lousy service. I will rate them less than one start of there is such a rating! They are worse than scammers.
This app can only connect to cell phones from the United States, Canada, and England. If you live outside one of these countries, you cannot use this service.
Incoming calls no longer work with iPhone 14.4.2
I really liked this app when it first came out. But now for some reason it’s very annoying. Believe it or not, you have to actually call on the phone and “register” your cell phone EVERY SINGLE TIME you delete the app and redownload it. Otherwise the app does not work and your voicemail won’t even pick up. This was happening for a quite a while and I had no idea why. Nowhere on the app does it say that you have to call in person and register you cell phone each time! It should not be that difficult to use an app.
The app won’t respond when you get to the settings page. Opening the billing and payments will often won’t take you anywhere. Not to forget, it’s way more costlier compare to other products like CallIndia for WiFi calling internationally.
Was working fine until the latest iOS update. Now can’t hear anyone speaking when calls are made on data. Works fine on WiFi but that defeats the purpose of having the app on my cell phone.
