They are thieves: uncooperative, disorganized, unhelpful, liars. We had a policy active for many years. In January 2018 we made our quarterly payment by direct transfer from our bank. They claimed they never received it, but took months to tell us. While we investigated, we made another quarterly payment. They said they never received that one, either, then cancelled our policy. We did everything they asked to show that BOTH of the payments had been sent & cleared our bank account, but they still refused to reinstate the pol... read more
Contacting Washington National is impossible. Why have phone numbers that no one answers? Why have a website that does not help anyone contact you? I even requested and agent to contact on their form, would not submit. I tried messenger, failed. If you sell a product, have customer service to back it.
Give decent customer service. The hundreds of pages of paperwork I am asked to supply for my parents' life insurance policies is ridiculous. My dad's other policies required none of this. Furthermore, the customer service rep is not based in a United States Washington National office and reads from a script. I think this company may be as fraudulent as the agent who sold this to my parents. He is now in prison.
Be there when there is a concern just like you are there every month to collect the premium payment.
When you need the company the most they make you jump through hoops and make it almost impossible to get paid on a claim. They still didn’t pay out my claim correctly. Forget trying to talk to anyone, they make that almost impossible too. I filled out all the forms to have my son removed from my policies because he was no longer covered due to his age but of course they were still taking the same premium out of my check. I called to try to get that taken care of and everything has to be requested by fax or mail then it is 15... read more
Clarity. This company needs to better communicate with their customers. Sending information through the mail informing customers about a pending problem is not very effective; especially since there are other ways of communicating with their customers such as email or just picking up the phone calling them. I too do not feel confident with this company.
They never receive papers you send them. Always send papers certified mail with signature receipt. Then they lie to you, then they don't pay.
Both my Cancer Policy and Policy for broken bones has responded to my needs.
You are dishonest and do not stand behind your product. You have caused undue stress beyond what was necessary when I have provided everything you requested; yet you denied the proof of the doctors and his family had any knowledge about the cancer my husband was diagnosed with less than a year later. I have begun an appeal and will contact the Texas Insurance Commission to report your lack of cooperation. The policy number is 303628625, claim number 317137. I have contacted your representative, Skip Francisco, to file an app... read more
