I've gone to the Fairfax office of Washington Radiology for years, never had a problem until this year's mammogram appointment. Long story short -- (1) August 2022: First appointment cancelled after I got there because their machine wasn't working. Do they have only one mammography machine? Here for 2 appts back to back. Somehow they are running an hour behind at 9am They don't tell you at check in but they are discussing behind the desk. Apparently staffing shortage - so why stack up the appts or at very least offer another day tine for appt. My tine is valuable and customer service is supposed to honor and respect your time. I am now past both appts times.

I have been leaving messages for the last 3 days to schedule a brain MRI, I can't talk to a live person nor do they return my phone messages. I have now sent a note through their website. Previous MRI was with WRA so Doctor instructed to use same company. After reading other comments I doubt that they will call me back.
I hesitated to write this review because I don't know for sure that the tech's aggressive sonogram techniques led to me losing my baby at 15 weeks, but if there's any chance that it did, I'd want other moms to know and go elsewhere (or at least speak up). My little one was in a position that made it difficult for the tech to get an image of the baby's neck, so she continued to press down and shake my belly for at least 45 minutes, leading to soreness the next day. Your services are abysmal. I tried calling to find out why its taking two weeks to get mamagram results and I can't even connect with a live person. My next plan is to show up in person since i can't reach anyone there by phone.
I wish I could give no stars. Awful experience every time! It's impossible to use the "easy on line app" site because first, it says "no apps for four weeks, you must make an app after (tomorrow's date). ???The calendar did in fact show an afternoon appt for one week from today I couldn't schedule it because my provider wasn't listed in the dropdown menu and when I clicked on the asterisk for "provider not listed" the form populated with "scheduling on line scheduling" nonsense. Had my first mammogram experience here, and it wasn't so great. The receptionist were friendly. However when I went in for my exam, the tech didn't explain anything to me and wasn't very professional. I left with a bruise. I was nervous as this was my first time getting a mammo, and left feeling unnerved about returning to this facility.
My experience with Washington Radiology Associates (WRA) has been abysmal. I question the integrity of their business practices after failing to get reimbursement for an over payment. Two years ago (in 2020), I paid twice for the same appointment. Once discovered, i called the billing department and the over payment was confirmed, but they have yet to reimburse me. The Fairfax practice engages in inappropriate exams and billing. My wife was referred for a Sonogram, and the practice insisted on a Mammogram even though she had one a few months prior at Washington Radiology. The referring physician called to clarify "no mammogram" and Washington Radiology insisted on a mammogram when my wife arrived. Washington Radiology is performing unnecessary tests to generate revenue. My wife left with no exam. I will be reporting this activity to the State.
