This company deserves ZERO STARS for customer service and competence. If you want your electric service cutoff on a hair trigger, then Frontier Utilities is the company for you. I called in for service and finished all the agreements. To not have to pay a deposit, I had to unlock my credit. I did it immediately after the call. I received no confirmation email so I called the next day. The rates had gone up and they would not honor the agreement I had made the day before. The representatives promised to get things worked out but they never did. I was on the phone for long periods of time on hold. Two of the reps that led me on were David and Amanda. Their rate is extremely expensive. They use offers that do not lower the rate enough, they only grant it for meeting the requirement. When comparing with other energy companies and friends there is a difference of approximately $100 to 140 per bill.
This Frontier Electric company is a fraudulent company that manufactures fake kw of electricity the customer has used. Before I moved to a different electric company, I always checked a whole year of how much kw I used monthly so that I can purchase a plan that works for me. Deliberately misled me on pricing, repeatedly disconnected me from phone calls to their chat service, and would hang up on chat service in a minute because of 'not hearing from me' while I was visibly typing responses to intricate questions. Spoke with me as of I were a child and never gave a satisfactory answer. Avoid at all costs
The company tripled my CCF rate upon for a renewal contract. I couldn't switch in time with Duke. Make sure there is now early cancelation fee and to arrange before termination date of contract and do not hesitate to open your mail approaching the end of your contract from them and check the new CCF rate or you will be in store for a gigantic surprise when it automatically renews. Customer representative guide me wrong and make me change my plan. I want to add my spouse name on bill so both of name can appear on bill so representative told me change the plan and we put you both name on bill but after change the plan there are only one name on bill as before and now they said they can't put both name on bill.
