Deliberately misled me on pricing, repeatedly disconnected me from phone calls to their chat service, and would hang up on chat service in a minute because of 'not hearing from me' while I was visibly typing responses to intricate questions. Spoke with me as of I were a child and never gave a satisfactory answer. Avoid at all costs
The company tripled my CCF rate upon for a renewal contract. I couldn't switch in time with Duke. Make sure there is now early cancelation fee and to arrange before termination date of contract and do not hesitate to open your mail approaching the end of your contract from them and check the new CCF rate or you will be in store for a gigantic surprise when it automatically renews. Customer representative guide me wrong and make me change my plan. I want to add my spouse name on bill so both of name can appear on bill so representative told me change the plan and we put you both name on bill but after change the plan there are only one name on bill as before and now they said they can't put both name on bill.
This is the worst electric company I've had the displeasure of using in my entire life. I've never had to contact my electric company and much as this one and I've lived in several states. The customer service team does not listen to concerns fully in regards to your account and they continuously miscommunicate and misinform their customers about their policies. Hooked me in with a low introductory rate, then after sending a letter at the end of the term that if I intended to stay with them, I need not do anything. Get my bill a month later that went from $139 to $327 with an additional $9.95 monthly fee. Rate went up to $.19900 which is much more than the PPL rate of $.12126. Frontier Utilities is NOT a good provider!!! Every month for 6-7 months I have to call to get extensions till my disability check arrives. I have tried to change due date, I can if I pay an extra $100. They knew prior to my electricity service began that I was disabled and had equipment. I even had doctor fill out critical care form for my medical. Yet, here we are once again. It would be nice to deal with someone in a 3rd world company that you can understand. Same goes with emailing info that they request in and it goes nowhere.
$20 FEE for disconnection Notice!!!!They charge you for issuing an electronic disconnection notice... This is insane. RUN!!! Do not use this company. If for any reason you get disconnected, they also charge you $10.37 for a reconnection Fee and an additional $10.37 for disconnection fee, plus a 5% late payment penalty fee. This is legal? robbery. RUN, choose literally any another company.
