After struggling for 8yrs with 2 others pools cleaners I said uncle. The Polaris 380 although have not had it all that long seems to be doing everything it should. I can also say their customer service is a 5 star! The only issue I have is a lot of the pool waterfalls in Texas are made from TX red rock. It's a very soft sandy rock, thus depositing a lot in the bottom of the pool. Even though Polaris offers a silt and sand catch bag, it still needs to be made of something finer. It seems to work well but it does tend to get stuck a lot in the ladder.
I absolutely love, love, love it! This replaced my 25 year old Polaris that just plain wore itself out. By the way, the old one was still partially working! Once the new one was connected, my new Polaris went to work climbing the walls & cleaning everywhere! This is an amazing product & I can only hope it will last as long as my previous one. Like that the entire unit is set up & ready to go. Though it seems like the backup feature is not fully operating. We had this same model before and the old one literally moved around the pool backwards, while this new one barely lifts up off the bottom and doesn't move backwards much at all. Works great!
My second unit, required replacement due to my stupidity. Great cleaner, works well requires little maintanance and rebuilding every 4-5 years is not difficult or expensive. Would purchase again

The 380 is simple to use and maintain. You can put your pool vacuum away for the season if you have a Polaris 380.
We love our Polaris. It does the job in our pool that we don’t want to have to do! I can’t imagine using any other pool cleaner or being without. Great product!!
