Ordered a guitar and case. Turned out case was out of stock which resulted in some confusion. Some steps in ordering process got out of sequence and resulted in me being charged for a case that was never shipped. Sam Ash was good at working with me to resolve this problem and quickly refunded the charge for case. Gave 4 out of 5 stars due to confusion cause by emails that were out of sequence and resulting in incorrect charge for case that was never shipped. Happy with end result and how Sam Ash resolved the issue quickly.
Customer service is the worst.
ORdered an acoustic guitar. Sam Ash uses FedX to ship. I never have good luck with FedX. It took over a week to get my guitar. When I received it, the box had holes in it and it was smashed on one end. Fortuneately, the guitar had no damage. It has been 11 days and I have not received my case that somehow Fedx has screwed up and it is nowhare to be found. Both my salesman and customer support have been of no help. Offer guitar insurance. I had a freak accident while owning the guitar under 24 hours. If it were a 400 dollar Mexican Fender, no big deal, but it happened to a Gibson 59 Reissue. Calls stopped getting returned once the sale was made. I'm dealing with Gibson directly now and am looking at a 1700 dollar top refinish.
I ordered a gift card online on a Saturday morning. I never received an email confirming that the order went through. And the recipient did not get the gift card. I called twice on the following Monday. The recipient did eventually electronically receive the gift card either that Monday or the following day but I never got an email confirmation that it had been sent. I checked both my junk and regular email several times. I did start getting other emails from Sam Ash, however, just not the one I was watching for.
Except for the fact that I have as sent a floor model with a ding instead of new guitar I was expecting and paid for, the service was great. However, I did have to return the guitar.
Customer service would not give me any details of my order. I had to wait for my “seller” to come back from his days off. I was told from my seller I would receive tracking info within 2 days. It took 7. I asked for shipment to be different from my home address because of recent delivery theft in my neighborhood. Items were still shipped to my home address. The questions I asked were answered in detail, unfortunately I cancelled the order before receiving a reply. I am having a problem using my card with eBay and have ordered a new card. When a replacement has been received, I will reorder this item from SA. Sam Ash is the best online dealer in my experience.
