In January of 2018 I bought a set of lower control arms for my Honda Odyssey from Detroit Axle through Ebay. They were shown to have a ten year warranty on the photo and description. In July of 2020 my mechanic informed me that the control arms are already worn and need to be replaced. I contacted Detroit Axle and they said that they would gladly replace them if I would pay for the shipping. Ordered on August 10th. Today is August 17th. Website indicates that they are processing the order. No update offered about my order. It seems a bit long to process an order.
Recently purchased a part that broke the day after I installed it. After several attempts to call and email, I have not been responded to. I have not been given a replacement part or a refund and it has been over a month.
Watch out for items they dont have in stock, I ordered inner and outer tie rod ends with boots, after 7 days they still had not shipped, they were waiting on the boots that they did not have, i cancelled my order, and they refunded all but $4, then went and paid 3X the cost at the parts store, had to get the truck done, double whammy
I ordered a suspension kit for a 01 GMC Sierra 2500HD I get the parts: #1 the control arm ball joint assembly are not even close to being right the part # they sent isn’t even on the packing slip order So then I have to go to the part store and spend $250 to get the parts for the vehicle that I needed I contacted Detroit axle to see if there was anything they could do to help fix the issue they said I could send the wrong control arms back but I would have to pay $60 my theory is they messed up I have all the proof that they... read more
Had problems with noise from the brakes within a week of install I called to get some advise. Detroit axle instructed me to clean the brake parts so I spend money to have the parts cleaned. Still squeaked so I contacted you again wanting these to work but the squeaking was horrible. Finally I was instructed to return them and they sent a label. If you are the same people who sold me foam on Amazon then you should be ashamed. I have been very nice and all I ever wanted was my money back, So plz just give me my refund on Amazon and I can feed my family with the money I been asking for. Worse customer service I have ever encountered. Was attempting to rebuild a truck for a wounded vet, emailed them thru ebay and directly at customerservice@detroitaxle.com. 31/2 months over 60 email requests for tech questions never a single response back. Called customer service , put on hold for hours, call never answered.
