This is my first ever negative review I’ve ever written, so that tells you how detestable this company’s actions were against me. I first got my aligners 7 years ago and I have had nothing but absolutely horrendous dealings with the customer service. Orders placed and not received, no communication, no responses, no desire to make errors right, teeth shifting because my aligners or retainers weren’t sent when promised. If I could I’d give no star. The aligners never fit, called customer service often. My Dentist noticed gum abrasions & ulcers caused by improper aligner fit. Wearing these things 10-12 hours a night. Month after month of agony & my teeth never moved. Would highly discourage anyone over the age of 30 to use SmileDirect. They simply do not deliver on the promises they make.

SmileDirect is totally incapable of providing the right fit aligners. This is the downside of all online model. It took smiledirect club 1 year with several failed attempts in providing me the right fit and eventually charged me $1185. This is totally unacceptable as I paid for nothing but trash and now there's no one to look after. I would highly encourage everyone to go for quality products and from vendors who standby their commitments. SmileDirect is all fake.

Paid $2100 ...wore for 5 months, happy with outcome. Must wear a retainer every night for rest of life in order to keep teeth from shifting. They require you to BUY a new retainer every 6 months or they will not ship you any more. Without you going through the hassle of molding your teeth again. Retainers are now $125 a set. I lost my retainer and they won't let me order a new one because I keep using an older one. Now my teeth are going to go crooked again.

I tried to slide left to give 1/2 of a star (for convenience & being easily accessible) but nope, a FULL star?? they’ll get more than they deserve…*AGAIN* I found it extremely difficult to get the aligners in. So much so, that I had to push them onto my teeth slowly over the course of a day until I heard/felt the unnerving “POP!” & knew they were locked in. I had ordered for straighteners but after three weeks of wearing my gums were pulling away from my teeth and my dentist said it was the aligners. So I contacted them to do a cancellation. I had to contact three times to get a response. In the meantime they put my billing on hold for a month to get it cancelled (this was in June) I did everything I was told to do but responses were very long in time to be returned. Terrible company and bad orthodontic treatment. They will mess up your teeth, create bite issues, have faulty systems that don’t update demographics and refuse to refund after you have started using there scam of a product or provide any credentialing information on so called doctors. I requested a refund on 05/16 and have received nothing. They will steal your money and keep it despite their terrible service. I will continue to discourage consumers from this company it’s a scam.

Completely unsatisfied. They keep charging me twice every month for a service that was not even fully provided in the sense that it did absolutely nothing it was supposed to do for my teeth. I do not recommend.

II can't begin to explain how utterly disappointed I am with the service. Firstly, I paid for my aligners in full. The first set was a nightmare experience. I did everything I was told to do, but the experience was still horrible. Aligners cutting into my gum, causing bleeding, etc. I spent hours filing, waxing, etc. and nothing worked. When it came time to use the 2nd set, it couldn't fit. It was too small. I called customer service and was told they would send me sets 1-3 where the edges are not sharp.
