Awful company. Their customer service is not helpful. They recently sent out emails with a sale price on retainers. When you attempt to purchase these they revert to whatever card you have on file instead of using the one you enter on the order... At the full price instead of the sale price. I told them this and they cancelled the order. They are disorganized, give you boilerplate responses, and don't care. This company is worthless.

I started my treatment plan almost two years ago with smile direct club. They initially with their insurance specialist told me my health insurance plan covered everything. Then months later after I began, my health insurance advised me that they had not been truthful and I was not covered for ANY services with SDC. Paid several months for a product that is ineffective. I asked for a refund and was told they could only offer 150$. Very disappointed after spending 600+ for something that didn’t work.

After paying for aligners in full, the 6-month plan of aligners were painful and moved my teeth that make my upper and lower front teeth angle forward like a beak. This also means they did not touch and I could not make an appropriate bite. I purchased the retainer as part of the requirement of treatment and was told a 2-month touch-up plan for more aligners could be ordered. There have been many issues with Smile Direct. First, I was quoted a 4 month treatment but had it extended 3 separate times so that I was in treatment for over a year. Very misleading. During my treatment, there were several auto charges that took a lot of effort to change with customer service. After asking for supervisors to call me back, I never received call backs and had to reach out again myself.
