I purchased a 6 month plan with Smile Direct Club that turned into almost going on 1 year and a half. this has been a nightmare to say the least. the 1st aligners didn't fit properly so that was a waste of 6 months. Did another 6 months and my front teeth are still not straight. The last teeth aligners made one of my front teeth lower then the other. I wish i just went with braces. I went through my treatment and my teeth were still crooked. Then had to go through another one and my bottom teeth were still crooked and now my top teeth have a gap(WHICH IVE NEVER HAD A GAP IN ANY OF MY TEETH). I am absolutely mortified and now had to pay the orthodontist to fix what smile direct club ruined.

My aligners are supposed to be on the way. I asked to switch the payment method on my account from my personal card to an HSA debit. Now they’re cancelling my entire treatment and processing a refund and told me to call them again when the refund is processed so I can place another order using the new card, restarting my timeline. Why is this such a complicated process to simply update the card on file? I probably won’t call back once I get my refund and just take my business to a competitor.

Did the whole treatment. Spent lots of money. 2019 aligners were suppose to be retainers and never fit. After office visits and THEM taking the impressions, never fit. I got retainers from a local ortho and need new ones. Contacted Smile and since the impressions in May -nothing. Went to their office an hour away and retainers DO NOT fit! Been calling weekly no help and they don't care. My teeth are moving. This is an health issue. Two reps now hung up on me. Calls are outsourced to Costa Rica. This company engages in dishonest business practices. They also violate a law regarding teledentistry in California. I did the in-office scan and received a scripted hard sell on the teeth alignment program. I was required to submit a credit card to hold my appointment. The salesperson had me sign an electronic form that looked an awful lot like a contract agreeing to buy the treatment program. Hands down the absolute worst communication I have ever gone through customer support. This company is a SCAMMER. I have been trying to go through the cancellation process for months after receiving extreme discomfort and pain from the aligners that I knew seemed to fit too tightly, which then resulted in damage to my front tooth and pain in my bite. Smile direct didn’t work for me. The very first aligner buckled, and the second ones didn’t fit. Replacements were sent after photo adjustments, but still didn’t fit. I had a rescan at an office location and got a third set, which still didn’t fit. I have called several times to request a refund but it’s been months and they won’t respond about the refund. They just keep telling me someone will call me back. Terrible customer service!

I had started treatment with smile direct and by end of it I was not happy because nothing had really changed and my teeth looked worse I asked for a full Refund and they got on and convinced me to give them another opportunity to make it right so stupid me I did that. In that process she sent me free retainers so I did not have to purchase them for some time. Never stating that if I did not purchase them they would then charge me yet again more money to get another impression to get retainers. So much smile for life for fre... read more
