This business is the absolute worst. When you ask to be left alone, they won't leave you alone. I've been in financial despair since 2021, ever since I started paying the high monthly financing bill that I only have because I was so sick of receiving calls from them after I initially reached out ONCE to find out if my insurance covered the aligners (they don't). As others have said, at time of “tell you everything you want to hear” visit I was told it would only take half as long, otherwise I had to wear 24 hours which I did. Also fine print also says they don’t do back teeth or bite, they only assure the front teeth are straight. I actually ended up with problems speaking properly when my bite dis not line up. To be clear, my complaint is not about the people (all of whom have been nice). My issue has been with the lack of transparency and huge delays in receiving my aligners. I purchased them on 4/24/23 when I did my smile scan in person and was told I would be receiving them 2-3 weeks. If a zero star option was available I would definitely rate this company as such! Their policy directly violates the consumers rights to be reimbursed for unwanted products and services. Their customer service representatives are unethical and uncooperative. They force potential clients to first try their impressions kit return it to the company and then wait to be rejected before receiving a refund for the initial payment. absolutely worst company. awful communication no help when asking questions and giving me the run around about the process. I’ve sent my pictures in 3 different ways and they continue to tell me they don’t have them. but when i get upset they say they found them. and then it starts all over again. i’ve paid my $250 deposit and can’t seem to get that back either.

I've had braces a few times, but my recent ortho lost my molds, so when my retainer broke it caused major issues. I went into a SDC location for a scan. I advised the rep I'm only interested in treatment if there was an expedited processing option available. I was told there was, and that it would take 3 business days for my treatment plan to be developed and sent over. My teeth and bite are worse now than before I started with Smile Direct. My bite is so misaligned that my dentist is now pressuring me to seek an orthodontic specialist to help me get things aligned again before I cause further damage to my jaw and teeth. My teeth are also still not straight despite smile direct doing three different “corrections” throughout my treatment process. We started off with this company started off as hopeful. I was referred by my sister for my son who has over-bite. We made the appointment and I signed the disclaimer for the payments to be taken. The first thing that went wrong was they where able to deduct funds from a different card then the one that I authorized. How they got the information is still a mystery. Extremely disappointed. I called and contacted smile direct club to Tell them My problems with my smile after aligners. My to eye teeth were sticking out and the two teeth next to them were now crooked. Kept being told someone would call me back. No one did repeatedly.
