I was given false promises on my teeth being corrected by Smile Direct Club. This is a business who is unorganized, and taking advantage of consumers. I was guaranteed that my teeth would be fixed in 6 months due to minimal crowding. After tray 5, I noticed that the aligners would not adjust. I called numerous times and was told that this was normal to keep wearing the aligners which I did. Then after, I didn’t have any shifting to my teeth. I started my smile journey about a year and a half ago at this point. Throughout this entire process I have gone in person, to the smile shop because I wanted to be sure my teeth were scanned correctly, and that smile direct club could see my teeth before beginning such an expensive treatment. Mind you, the closest smile shop is four hours away from my home. I have traveled up there four times since this started. I placed my order after a rep told me it was perfectly ok to order even though I had a cap placed on a bottom tooth AFTER my first impressions were done. I called after the cap to see if I needed to re-do the impressions. The rep told me to place the order because if the aligner doesn't fit, it'll be much easier and faster to just have the bottom replaced. Well.... this has not been the case. Not even close. I wish they could have told me that the aligners would not align my top teeth when I first got my teeth scanned and evaluated. If I had known it could not be done, I would not have spent $2,000 and wasted my time wearing these things for 8 months, 20 hrs a day of minimal movement. I would have chosen to go to a dentist for braces instead. My bottom teeth are now pretty straight, but they were only minimally crooked to begin with. I have never felt such disappointment and such regret in a company and its product than I do with Smile Direct. My journey with SDC did not start off well and has continued to go down hill. The process started in September of 2021 when I took my first impressions. When I received my aligners, they were not flush against my teeth. It was determined by a CSR that I needed new aligners. Disqualified me for a touch up even though I am still in the eligibility window, they want me to pay them an additional $250. I went to buy a retainer for $99 and they charged my card, never shipped them, and are now saying I need to order the $250 aligners before I can get the retainer! Nonsense. I’m surprised they’re still in business it’s such a grift. And now no one is responding, but if you say you’re a new customer they respond immediately. I just want the smile I was promised that I paid a ton of money for.

Id give minus stars if i could. The absolute worst customer service. I had treatment with smiles direct, during that time one of the aligners pushed back my tooth so forcefully that it cut off the nerve and killed it. The tooth started to discolour and I had to seek medical help. Was in so much pain. Since finishing treatment iv had headaches, my bite is out of place, my jew will not close properly. Buyer beware. In short, I have had trouble from the beginning. My bottom aligners have never fit correctly- although the fake dentist (that is literally fake because the address is for a historical civil war home and no phone number) indicates by email that they fit just fine after I have repeatedly sent pictures that show otherwise. Don’t ask to speak to the dentist - that isn’t an option. My lower teeth is about to fall off at this point, after trying multiple aligners in the past 3 years to fix my lower teeth. My tooth is extremely loose and I can't even eat much afraid that if will completely fall off at this point.
