DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give zero stars, I would. They act like people don't keep their own receipts. I paid for my treatment up front, and also paid to have a retainer shipped to me at the end to keep everything in place. I was charged for all of it up front. I never received the retainer and they're saying its because they never got payment for it. Baby, I have bank records. This company is horrible.

I had previously completed my smile journey in 2019 and wanted an aligner touch up. I have used their retainers for 3 years and bought replacements when necessary. But they told me that my smile guarantee wasn't eligible anymore because I didn't buy the new retainers every 6 months. I probably got new ones every 8 months or so. I gave them feedback that paying $100 every 6 months to get new retainers is a lot for someone to keep up with and I still wore the retainers consistently until I needed ones. Do not waste your money. Please read all the reviews. Near half way into my smile direct program i noticed zero changes in my smile so of course i decided to cancel. I was not expecting a return but to at least return their defective product (2 of the retainers of the first four were loose on one end, 7 of the 12 retainers were still unopened ) and i was charged "$496.35" for the defective products that were used on top of the initial $200 i had paid upfront and $103.45 monthly charges. I went through a full treatment plan with multiple adjustments with Smile Direct Club. I wore braces years ago and just needed a minor touch-up. I never saw or spoke with an actual dentist and the aligners fit horribly. The aligners did not even cover my back teeth, which my dentist has indicated is part of what is causing the issues I'm now having. This is absolutely the WORST customer service experience I have had with a company ever. According to the Smile Direct Club website, if cancellation is initiated and the aligners are shipped within the first 30 days of treatment, the customer will be refunded 100% of the costs. I shipped out my aligners (which were delivered over a month and a half ago) and initiated my cancellation within the acceptable time frame for a full refund. BEWARE! So frustrated and disappointed that their “smile” promise is a lie. I wore all the aligners for 3 years, which is supposed to be a 6-month plan, and nothing happened, after several scans and several sets of aligners, it didn’t fulfill the promise. Ashley was very helpful with my 3d scan. She was friendly and informative about the liners. I will leave a new review once I get the liners and start using them
Terrible company! Their “lifetime guarantee” is a lie. I contacted them because I was unhappy with my results and they told me there was nothing more they could do because i signed off on my scans. I never confirmed anything and I still have significant gapping in my bottom teeth as well as a terrible bite, two things I was told would fix. TERRIBLE SERVICE! I finished my treatment plan, and called because my teeth did not look like the diagram they showed me. They were not straight. They requested I submit another set of impressions, and only take top impressions since that is what they prescribed and my dentist has advised against lower impressions due to the severity of gum line recession.
