I am writing on 11/22/23 to file a complaint against smile direct club. I like everyone else was excited to straighten my teeth but this company is full of frauds!. If you are reading this please do not use them. I am currently requesting a refund and instead and being told I have to pay for their ineffective product that has not worked but actually made things worse. Smile direct scammed me took my payment for rush aligners and I have not received them. I have been calling their customer service along with emailing them and also submitting tickets and no one has helped me. Every time I am on the phone with them they disconnect the call and hang up on me. They have yet to refund me. I have spent over an hour daily for the last two weeks trying to get help and no one has helped me.

If you're looking to use Smile Direct Club, DON'T. While seeking care from your local orthodontist is more expensive, it'll be worth your time, health and money to do it right. I made the unfortunate mistake by using Smile Direct Club to straighten my teeth. After going to my dentist for a routine cleaning, they discovered my top front teeth were loose, which was caused by trauma from Smile Direct Clubs products. I had started smile direct club a few years back and when I heard about them I was so excited as I am afraid of going to the dentist. I decided to give smile direct club a try and as a teenager was paying out of my own pocket but I was determined that these were going to work. I started this journey in December of 2019, diligently wearing my aligners. About mid treatment they did not fit. Got refinements no problem. Refinements were okay first two months or so, again by the middle didn't fit. I had 3 sets of refinements, and then I was ghosted by the company. I requested multiple times for help with a "3 to 5 business day" response. I have had the worst experience in the last year. When I first started in 2019, the plastic was different but, sadly, the retainers do not last 6 months, as the lose form over time. My teeth start to move and new retainers do not fit. I had to pay to get a “touch up” and it has not worked. It takes over a month to receive your aligners and your teeth move in that time and they never fit. When you call customer service, you cannot get any help. It’s just “send us pictures.” Of what!?
